PLS-J holds monthly literary Meet

Jammu: Monthly Literary Meeting of Punjabi Lekhak Sabha, Jammu (PLS-J) was held on Sunday. Writers and poets of Punjabi language participated in the meeting. Dr. Nirmal Vinod, a renowned multilingual writer presided over the meeting. While welcoming the participant writers and poets, Dr. Monojit, President PLS- J said that due to Corona- 19 panedemic and its after effects, the Sabha decided to hold the meeting once a month in place of twice a month. He said that the Sabha is getting good response even during hard times.
The writers and poets read out their creative witings during the meeting. Dr. Baljit Raina read out a part of his Novel ‘Muhabbat’, Dr. Monojit read out his new Satire ‘Lal Qila’ and Pritam Singh Anjaan presented his new story ‘Faltu Samaan’. Other members present in the meeting presented their poetry on different issues related to contemporary world. The poets who recited their poetry included Dr. Baljit Raina, Dr. Monojit, Devinder Singh Vishavnagrik, Ichhupal Singh, Balwinder Singh Jammu, Harji Singh Uppal, Advocate Jasmeet Singh, Charanjeet Singh Channi, Resham Kaur Resham, Dr. Nirmal Vinod, Suraj Singh Suraj and two new members, namely, Kulbir Singh Khajuria and Gurmail Singh who joined the programme of the Sabha.
In his presidential address Dr. Nirmal Vinod appreciated the participation of good number of writers and poets in the Literary Meeting of PLS- J. He appreciated the quality and content of all the items presented in the meeting.
The proceedings of the programme were conducted by Dr. Baljit Raina, General Secretary, PLS- J. The Vote of Thanks was extended by Sh. Devinder Singh Vishavnagrik, Treasurer PLS- J.
