Srinagar: Chairman People’s Democratic Front ( PDF) Hakeem Muhammad Yaseen has felicitated Muslim brethren on the auspicious occasion of Mirajul Un- Nabi(PBUH). He has also greeted Hindu community especially Kashmiri Pandits on their revered religious festival Mahashivratri commonly known as ‘ Heerath ‘ in Kashmir. Both these auspicious religious events coincidentally fall on the same day – tomorrow.
In his felicitation message Hakeem prayed that ‘ may the revered religious festivals of Miraj-ul-Nabi (PBUH) and Heerath prove harbinger of peace and prosperity especially in Jammu and Kashmir. He hoped that these religious festivals would go a long way to imbibe spirit of compassion, mercy and communal harmony in the trouble torn Jammu and Kashmir.
PDF Chairman observed that the people of Jammu and Kashmir has a glorious tradition to celebrate their religious festivals with mutual love and brother hood which was the hallmark of our culture and composite ethos . ” It was most heartening that the people of Jammu and Kashmir kept their tradition of mutual understanding, communal harmony and brotherhood always in high esteem despite repeated provocations by the enemies of peace, ” Hakeem said adding that “values of coexistence and religious harmony run in the blood of both Kashmiri Muslims and Kashmiri Pandits from ancient times”.
