DDC Shopian convenes DLRC meet

Shopian: The District Development Commissioner (DDC) Shopian, Sachin Kumar Vaishya Tuesday convened a District Level Review Committee (DLRC) meeting of Shopian to review the achievements under Annual District Credit Plan 2020-21.
Lead District Manager, Shopian, Ghulam Rasool Dar apprised the meeting about the achievements during quarter 3rd ended 31st December 2021 of financial year 2020-21. The deposits as on December 31,2020 stood at Rs.1445.30 crore as compared to Rs.1131.02 crores as on December 31, 2019 and the advances as on December 31,2020 stood at Rs.1474.90 crore as compared to Rs.1249.94 crore as on December 31, 2019.
Under priority sector, advances as on December 31, 2020 stood at Rs.1160.77 crore as compared to Rs.1167.95 crore of previous quarter ended 30th September 2020 and under non-priority sector as on December 31, 2020 stood at Rs.314.10 crore as compared to Rs.274.01 crore of previous quarter ended 30th September 2020.
While reviewing the performance of banks, the DDC said that the banks have to play a pivotal role and emphasized the need that the Schemes rolled out by Government should be implemented in letter and spirit by all stakeholders with close coordination.
He also directed sponsoring agencies and line departments to continue the process of conducting awareness programmes by using innovative methods in rural areas to make the rural population and masses aware of the various developmental programmes devised by the Government for income and employment generation.
The DDC stressed the need for cent percent achievement of Annual Credit Plan (ACP) targets and said that joint awareness camps by Government Departments/Banks be conducted more frequently in the district so that people can avail benefits of Government Schemes.
Lead District Manager, Cluster Head, besides Officers from Line Departments and other concerned attended the meeting.
