Srinagar: Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Police South Kashmir Range (SKR) Atul Goel on Thursday visited Police District Awantipora and held a detailed interaction with eight probationary IPS officers who are presently undergoing training in different CRPF Units of Awantipora.
During the interaction, DIG SKR and SSP Awantipora shared some of the work experience of J&K Police and CAPF Units and briefed them how coordination is being maintained among the different forces. DIG SKR also highlighted the role of Police and CAPF in maintaining peace and security in Jammu & Kashmir. After interaction with probationary IPS officers, DIG SKR visited the DPL ground where “South Kashmir U-19 cricket tournament” has been organized. He held a detailed interaction with the players of two teams namely Shopian “A” & Shopian “B” which were playing today’s match.
DIG SKR also held an interaction meeting with the officers of Police District Awantipora in which he emphasizes upon the officers for dealing the situations with utmost professionalism, conduct joint Law and Order drills with CRPF and to continue the drive against the drug peddlers. SSP Awantipora Tahir Saleem, SDPO Awantipora, SDPO Pampore, DySP Awantipora and Dy SP DAR and other officers participated.
