Srinagar: Editor of a local newspaper who had allegedly forged letters in the name of Jammu and Kashmir Press Association (JKAP) Ghulam Hassan Kaloo against over three dozen newspaper has been identified and admitted this guilt.
Meanwhile, Mr Kaloo, who is also Editor in Chief of English daily “ The Mirror of Kashmir” has now called a meeting of all editors of the Kashmir based newspapers tomorrow at Press Club, Srinagar to discuss the issue in the light of new facts of the forged letters.
Mr Kaloo said a case FIR has already been registered in Police Station (PS) Kothibagh against unknown persons for writing forged letters to various quarters against the newspapers.
He said Arshad Mir, Editor of “Kashmir Headlines” has confessed his crime of writing these forged letters.
He said since an FIR has been lodged to this effect in the PS Kothibagh and the accused has confessed the guilt, so final decision has to be taken in this regard at the meeting.
