One week Management dev prog begins for MSMEs

Srinagar: The MSME Development Institute, Srinagar has organized one week Management development program commencing from Tuesday under Ministry of MSME on ‘Documentation and performance analysis of an enterprise’, in collaboration with KSSIA Bagh Ali Marchdan Khan at IICT Nowshera, here.
The inaugural session of the programme was attended by Director I&C Kashmir, GM DIC Srinagar, Deputy Director MSME DI J&K, Project Director MSME-TDC, Assistant Director MSME DI J&K and President KSSIA besides renowned MSMEs.
Director I&C, Nazim Khan who was the Chief Guest on the occasion welcomed the initiative from MSME DI for such management programs. He emphasized on the importance of financial management citing the reason that the businesses now are completely based on technology involving finance and further added that unit holders continuously need to upgrade themselves through such programs.
Deputy Director MSME DI J&K, Dr. Ashwani KuMarch stressed on the fact that MSME schemes should be availed by MSMEs. He briefly discussed schemes like CGTMSE, IPR and Incubation etc of the Ministry of MSME.
Project Director MSME TDC, Mir Altaf Ahmad explained the role extension centre Srinagar is playing in upgrading the skills of youth.
Earlier Assistant Director MSME, Saheel Alaqband said the aim of the one week long training program is to help MSMEs minutely inspect their units and work out on shortcomings. Through proper documentation MSME s will be in a position to generate Monthly information sumMarchy which will help them analyse their business ventures.
Later, Alaqband gave a detailed presentation on the need for generation of monthly information sumMarchy.
At the end, Entrepreneurs had fruitful interaction session with the officers wherein they raised a few issues like the need for strong Marchketing policy that will help businesses flourish and the corpus for rehabilitation of sick units.
The association also requested for common facility centre creation in the industrial estate where in facilitation pertaining to financial matters like GST will be provided to the MSMEs.
