Ramkote (Kathua): The literary Club of Govt. Degree College Ramkote organised one day Inter Collegiate Seminar on the topic “Aggression in youth and its effect on their mental health” which was participated by various students from different colleges. The seminar was organised under the able guidance of the principal of the college Dr. Ashu Vashisht. Dr Seema Jamwal graced the occasion as the chief guest of the seminar. In her address she deliberated on the issue of mental health and apprised the students of various factors that affect our mental health. Earlier in his welcome address Assist. Professor Karam Chand introduced the eminent speakers vis, professor Rakesh Sharma HOD Hindi from GLDM Degree College Hiranagar and Dr Rachna Devi HOD Psychology from Govt. Degree College Boys Kathua with the participants present in the seminar. Both the speakers spoke at length on the issue and enlightened the students about the underlying issues related to aggression and mental health. The students from various colleges participated actively and hence they were also awarded with the certificates of appreciation. The seminar was organised by the convenor of the Literary Club of the College with the co-ordination of the Staff members of the college namely Dr. Bavita Kumari, Prof. Rajesh Kumar, Lect. Shewali Gupta,Lect. Kamni Raj, Lect. Shivani Sharma, Lect. Girdhari Lal, Lect Rajinder Kumar, Dr. Zulfakar and Dr. Manzoor . The vote of thanks was presented by Lect. Shewali Gupta Deptt.
