Ganderbal: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Ganderbal, Shafqat Iqbal Monday felicitated two meritorious girl students of the district who secured positions in the recently declared result of 10th class examination, here at DC Office.
The students who were felicitated on the occasion include Tabasum Gulzar who scored 500 out of 500 and Parveena Ayoub who scored 489 out of 500 in the recently held class 10th examination.
While interacting with the students, the DC extended warm greetings to the students and appreciated the role of parents and teachers for their success and advised both the students to remain focused for their goals and redouble their efforts to excel in academics and other co-curricular and extra-curricular fields.
He also presented certificates of appreciation and mementos among the position holders.
Pertinently, Parveena Ayoub, coming from a financially weaker background and living in a single tin shed with her siblings and parents, was also given a cheque.
The DC appreciated her efforts for managing to score good grades despite all hardships and struggles and assured all possible support from district administration to her family for construction of the house under PMAY scheme.
Assistant Commissioner Revenue Ganderbal, Ab. Baseer Ahmad, Chief Planning Officer, Irfan Ahmad Giri, and Dy. CEO Nazir Ahmad were present on the occasion.
