Anantnag/Feb,24 : Two unidentified militants have been killed in a gunfight in Sirigufwara area of South Kashmir’s Anantnag district nd the operation is still underway, Police said on Wednesday.
A police official said ” the gunfight broke out in the Shalgul forest area of Srigufwara in South Kashmir’s Anantnag district after a cordon and search operation was laid in the area by Jammu and Kashmir Police, Army’s 3RR and CRPF but immediately after the searches were started the hiding militants opened fire at the government forces that triggered a gunfight”, adding that “in the heavy exchange of fire which lasted for about three to four hours two militants whose identity is yet to ascertained were killed”. The official also said that search operation is underway in the area”
