PHE daily wager commits suicide in Poonch

Poonch: A daily wager of Public Health Engineering (Jal Shakti department) allegedly committed suicide in Poonch district of Jammu division on Monday while his family stated that he was distressed due to improper release of wages.

Reyaz Ahmed, a resident of Poonch, was working as a casual laborer in the department from the last twenty years but was under stress due to improper release of wages.

Nisar Ahmed, said that his brother was under stress and was working as a daily wager in the department from twenty years as he was getting a meager amount of Rs sixty thousand, which was inadequate to meet the daily needs of the family.
DC B’Pora inaugurates intensified Mission Indradhanush 3.0
Bandipora : The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Bandipora, Dr Owais Ahmad on Monday inaugurated Intensified Mission Indradhanush (IMI) 3.0 at Health and Wellness Centre Pazalpora.
Speaking on the occasion, the DC said that IMI 3.0 is an initiative by the government to provide immunization free of cost to pregnant women and children across the country and to strengthen and re-energize the programme and achieve full immunization coverage for all children and pregnant women at a rapid pace.
The DC expressed his elation at the elaborate preparations to immunise every mother and child in the district.
The Intensified Mission Indradhanush 3.0 will have two rounds starting from February 22 and March 22, 2021.
Dr Owais urged the officers to work in close coordination with the field staff to ensure cent percent coverage under the mission.
The DC was accompanied by Chief Medical Officer, Dr Bashir Ahmad, Deputy Chief Medical Officer, District Immunization Officer, Consultant and DMEIO.
