Jammu/Feb,18: National Conference (NC) on Thursday grabbed Chairperson posts in District Development Councils (DDCs) in Kishtwar and Ramban districts of Jammu province.
Reports said NC candidate Puja Devi in Kishtwar bagged eight votes and won the election for the position of Chairperson and Congress candidate Saima Lone was elected as Vice Chairman.
In Ramban, NC candidate Shamshad Begum got eleven votes and registered a thumping win and Rabiya Beigh, an independent candidate won the post of Vice Chairman.
Pertinently, three independent DDC members from Ramban including former bureaucrat Bashir Ahmad Rounyal joined NC Wednesday this week and extended support to the party candidate .
