Srinagar/Feb,18 : Over half a dozen barracks of Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) were on Thursday morning gutted in a devastating fire at Tatoo griound Batmaloo in uptown Srinagar , officials said.
They said fire broke out in a barrack at around 3.00 A.Mat Tatto Ground, Batmaloo in uptown , Srinagar and spread to adjoining barracks .
Over half a dozen barracks were gutted in the devastating fire, they said, adding that there was no report of any injury or loss of life. Locals said ‘some explosions were heard from the area’,adding that ‘Fire and Emergency (F&E) headquarter, Batmaloo rushed fire tenders to the spot immediately after the fire .
Fire was later brought under control, they said. Officials said the cause of fire was being ascertained.
