Poonch: Rural Development Department Monday organized an interaction with the Panchayat representatives, here at Block Sathra.
The meet was attended by Chairperson DDC Poonch, Tazeem Akhter; BDC Sathra, Fareeda Bi and all the Sarpanchs of the Block.
On the occasion, Block Development Officer, Zamood Ahmed briefed about various ongoing schemes of Rural Development. The BDO also informed the participants that RDD Block Sathra intends to deliver services to the people at their doorstep and a schedule to hold public darbar at every Panchayat shall be devised shortly.
All the participants congratulated the newly elected Chairperson of DDC Poonch and wished that she would serve the people of the Poonch.
The DDC Chairperson also thanked the people and assured that she will try to fulfill aspirations of the people of this border District.
Later, a threadbare discussion regarding various steps to be taken to make the department more accountable and transparent were held. At the end BDO thanked the participants.
