Srinagar/Feb,13 : The Commissioner Srinagar Municipal Corporation(SMC) in a meeting presided over by him at top civic body’s headquarter at Karan Nagar Srinagar on Saturday announced that car parking slot that did not evoke any response in the previous auction process will continue to be rung by SMC itself till the new auction process is initiated and finalised.
According to a statement issued by the Srinagar Municipal Corporation on Saturday a meeting under the chairmanship of Commissioner SMC Gazanfar Ali was today held here at Central Office Karan Nagar in his Office Chambers.
Deliberating on various revenue related issues it was decided that all the Municipal car parking lots which have not evoked any response in recent times shall continue to be run by department till new auction process is initiated and suitable offer are being attracted by the Corporation.
While discussing the rent fixation of Municipal Shopping Complex at Hyderpora for allotment of shops, the chair decided to fix the rent of the shops at par with similar SMC complex or other property in the same vicinity.
Ali on the occassion also passed on instructions for installation / errection of SMC sign boards at all the designatèd Municipal Car Parking lots within the Limits of SMC. Besides this various other issues pertaining to different assets of Corporation and revenue generation were discussed at length. The meeting was attended by Joint Commissioner Adm, Joint Commissioner works, Secretary SMC, Chief Revenue Officer, Revenue Officer and other revenue officials.
