DDC inspects ongoing developmental projects at Hayhama, Kupwara

Kupwara : District Development Commissioner (DDC), Kupwara, Imam Din Friday visited Hayhama area of Kupwara to inspect various ongoing developmental works.
During the visit, the DDC inspected ongoing construction of 10 MVA Receiving Station Hayhama coming up at an approved cost of Rs.2.88 crore of which Rs.1.04 crore have been expended so far.
The DDC stressed upon the concerned Executive Engineer to speed up the pace of work and complete the project within the given time frame and directed for close supervision and execution of the project.
The DDC also inspected newly constructed building for NTPHC Gonipora, approved at a cost of Rs.166.44 lakh of which Rs.78 lakh have already been expended. He directed the concerned to shift NTPHC in the new building within next week so that people are provided better health care facilities.
At Mirnag, the DDC inspected partially damages in wooden bridge and road due to flash floods. He directed the Executive Engineer R&B for immediate minor repairs to the bridge and ensure proper fencing of the damaged road to safeguard the lives of the local people and their live stock.
Later, the DDC met several public delegations who put forth various developmental issues and demands before the DDC which include augmentation of Hayhama road and Mirnag bridge, uninterrupted power supply and completion of Mirnag Panchayat Ghar.
On the occasion, the DDC issued on spot directions to the concerned officers for time bound redressal of the issues raised by the delegations. He stressed upon them to work with added dedication for overall development of the area.
Among others, the DDC was accompanied by ADDC Kupwara, Mohammad Ashraf Bhat, District Panchayat Officer, Tehsildar Kupwara, Executive Engineer R&B, BDC Chairperson Hayhama and other concerned officers and officials.
