Srinagar: Police Public interaction meeting was facilitated by Srinagar Police at Police Station Harwan while following social distancing norms and otherprotocols.
A police statement issued on Wednesday said “the interaction meeting was chaired by SHO Police Station Harwan and attended by the representatives of Sumo Stand Theed Harwan, Shalimarand Hazratbal”.
The police in it’s statement further said “the people of area raised grievances regarding non availability of transport in the peak and evening hours following which a Police Public interaction meeting was held in which the Sumo Stand
Associations agreed to fulfil the demands of general public and assured the redressal of grievances forthwith”.
The chairing officer, according to the police statement appreciated working body of transporters for their efforts to deal with Covid-19 during lockdown.
“the participants were also asked to make use of masks mandatory”, said the police statement .
Stating that the participants raised several issues during the meeting, the police in it’s statement said “the chairing officer assured the participants that their genuine issues pertaining to police will be resolved on priority and the issues
pertaining to civil administration will be taken up with the concerned departments for their redressal”.
