Bandipora: Labour department and Rural Engineering wing department in North kashmir’s Bandipora are without district officers for the past Twelve days.
The administrative work of both the departments has been affected due to unavailability of the officers.
“For a single signature, labourers are seen in ques in labour department in mini secretrait Bandipora, which is adversely affecting the labourers and employees of the department.
In absence of an administrative head in Rural Engineering department, the routine work of the department had come to a “standstill”, an insider said.
“For a single signature we have been visiting here and are waiting from last twelve days.
The absence of a Xen REW also affected the functioning of the office, an official said. He alleged that nobody was paying heed over the matter.
Meanwhile Aadepartment insider said that the vacant post had “exposed the non-seriousness of the department in filling the key positions which play an important role on the ground level in the department”.Locals appealed Divisional Commissioner to look into the matter and take appropriate steps to redress their grievances.
