DC Pulwama spends night in far off Achzoga to restore Achzoga – Sangerwani connectivity

Pulwama: Leading a team of officers on way to Sangerwani on 07th January, Deputy Commissioner Pulwama Dr Raghav Langer along with team had to spend the intervening night of 7-8 January among locals in Achzoga , Pulwama.
In the early morning Friday , the team of Officers along with men and machinery resumed the restoration work on the Achzoga – Sangerwani road
It is important to mention that Achgoza, Sangerwani is a tough terrain and farthest area of Pulwama and has witnessed a snowfall of more than 6ft .
An Official Spokesperson said Deputy Commissioner along with team spent the intervening night of 7th-8th January in the house of a local in Achzoga . The team reached the place with the help of Snow Ploughs and JCBs . He added that Deputy Commissioner personally mounted on a snow plough and led the snow clearance measures.
Deputy Commissioner also had a late night public grievances redressal camp at Achgoza and met scores of people and listened to their grievances.
Meanwhile it is important to mention that the team also cleared the Achzoga- Bamnoo – Keller road and got the area connected with SDH Keller to avert any medical emergency.
It is pertinent to mention here that people have hailed the unprecedented efforts of district administration and said adminstation has placed people as priority . People from Civil society also expressed their satisfaction over the good will adminstation has gained over such sincere efforts.
It is important to mention that the road connectivity has been restored between Achgoza and Sangerwani despite more than accumulation of 6ft of snowfall. However the minor link roads may take next 24 Hours for complete restoration.
Executive Engineers of R&B ,PDD, PHE, Tehsildar Rajpora ,AEE Mechanical amongst others accompanied the Deputy Commissioner.
