B’pora: As a part of the ongoing nationwide exercise, the Bandipora district administration Friday conducted Covid vaccine dry run at three identified locations in the district viz District Hospital Bandipora, CHC Hajin and Health and Wellness Centre Nesbal.
Deputy Commissioner Bandipora Dr Owais Ahmad along with Chief Medical Officer Bashir Ahmad and Deputy Chief Medical Officer Dr Parveiza Kausar visited the District Hospital to monitor the administration of dummy COVID-19 vaccination to the beneficiaries.
The vaccination was administered to 75 beneficiaries who were identified through Co-WIN Mobile App amid strictly adhering to operational guidelines for COVID-19 vaccination roll out.
As per the guidelines, three rooms were designated for Covid-19 vaccination which includes the Waiting room, Vaccination room and the Observation room at all the three identified locations.
Speaking on the occasion, Deputy Commissioner Bandipora said the objective of the dry run was to identify the challenges and guide the way forward prior to actual implementation besides assessing operational feasibility in the use of COVID Vaccine Intelligence Network (Co-WIN) application in the field environment and to test the linkages between planning and implementation.
He said special attention was also given to AEFI Management and on disposal of Bio Medical Waste.
On the occasion the functioning of Co-WIN App, on which all beneficiaries are going to be uploaded, was also demonstrated to the medical staff and other participants.
DC Bandipora holds interaction with newly elected DDC members
B’pora: District Development Commissioner Bandipora, Dr. Owais Ahmad Friday interacted with the newly elected members of District Development Councilors (DDC’s).
During the meeting threadbare discussions was held with regard to implementation of Forest Rights Act 2006 and upliftment of tribal people
On the occasion DDC highlighted the role of DDCs, in proper implementation of FRA and creating awareness among masses with regard to Gram Sabha level committees, Sub-divisional Level Committees, and district level committee for implementation of FRA-2006
He also applauded all DDCs and other PRI members for their proactive role for implementation of various schemes.
