Fake order about transfer of Director Information, DDC Doda put on social media sites draws a flak, govt disowns order

Srinagar/Jan,7 : A fake order about the transfer of Dr Sehrish Asgar the incumbent Director Information, Jammu & Kashmir Government, and Dr Doifode Sagar Dattatray has been strongly refuted by the top government officials saying that the order has been neither issued by the government nor displayed on the official website of the General Administration Department (GAD) as is the general precedence .
A senior government official told Kashmir Horizon ” no such order has been issued. Government strongly disowns the fake order put on social media sites by some vested interests. Had the transfers been ordered, the General Administration Department would have upload the order on it’s official website immediately”. Interestingly Dr Sehrish Asgar shown posted as DC Doda upon her transfer from Information Department is far far senior to Dr Doifode Sagar Dattatray shown posted Commissioner/Secretary Housing and Urban Development Department J&K Government. It may be mentioned here Dr Sehrish Asgar has smoothly run the affairs of Information department very efficiently in most trying times before and after the implementation of J&K Reorganisation Act 2019 that downgraded the erstwhile J&K state to a union territory and the abrogation of Article 370 and Article 35 A. Dr Sehrish has now the distinction of being one of the longest serving Directors of Information Department. Interestingly very rarely IAS and KAS officers have held position of Director Information for long stints. Dr Sehrish has been instrumental in bringing institutional and administrative stability to the Information Department after a very long time.
