The most difficult test which we will ever face in our life is the test of chastity. A person who passes this test will be a hero both in this world and hereafter. A person’s perfection (Faultlessness) or inferiority emerges during the chastity affair. Almighty Allah in various verses of the Quran promises great rewards and gives good news to people who are able to protect their chastity. He promises Hell’s torment for the ones who don’t care about their chastity. Almighty Allah deems murdering a man and being unchaste to be equal. Perhaps ninety percent of all human sins concerns chastity. An unchaste person will be sinful and dishonorable within society and even Almighty Allah. A person or family’s honour and dignity is assessed by their resistance to these feelings. Most of the scandals, crimes, quarrels, jealousies etc. in short, all evils arises mainly from lack of chastity. Most people cannot refrain themselves from indulging in the charms of the wrong path even though they may know the negative results of being unchaste. Anyone who is taught to fear Almighty Allah will not be unchaste. It must be our primary duty to try to teach our children the fear of Almighty Allah. To fear Almighty Allah is also a matter of knowledge, work and effort. It will not emanate from a vacuum. The fear of Almighty Allah is a good indication of a human being. In our society certain kinds of pests (immoral people) exist who will make it very difficult for us to live among them with honour. If we are overwhelmed by the feelings we feel inside and are unable to control ourselves, we will easily fall into the pit of being unchaste and immorality. The number of people who have been able to rescue themselves from this is quite small. We must strive to obtain a legitimate and dignified way to satisfy our feminine feelings. We should not incline towards flirtation and premarital relationships as most people do.

There is an old saying, “If the eyes do not see, the hearts tolerates”. Chastity is a jewel, young girls are worth millions. Any male who does not fear Almighty Allah will use all of his ability to grab such a jewel.

One remedy for protecting chastity is to marry off young girls and boys at the proper time. Second is to stay away from places which may damage your chastity i.e to stay away from mixed male and female groups, not to drink alcohol, not to be friends with weak and corrupt people and to avoid all other types of ways that may lead one astray is the best alternative. We also should not go to the places of entertainment which are in fact the traps. There is an old saying, “If the eyes do not see, the hearts tolerates”. Chastity is a jewel, young girls are worth millions. Any male who does not fear Almighty Allah will use all of his ability to grab such a jewel. After grabbing it, he will have achieved his goal. But then the jewel will have been converted into an ordinary stone. Afterwards, it will be easy to throw it into the streets. May Almighty Allah give us strength to maintain chastity (Honesty) everywhere? Aameen!
