R-Day arrangements reviewed at Ang, Gbl, Kulgam

Srinagar: In order to ensure fool proof arrangements to be put in place at the venue of Republic Day (RD) Celebrations-2021 parades across the Kashmir, the district administrations, Tuesday, hold separate meeting and discussed the steps need to be taken by the line department to make the event a success.
At Anantnag, a meeting was held under the chair of Deputy Commissioner Anantnag, K. K. Sidha Tuesday at Dak Banglow Khanabal. A threadbare discussions with regard to preparation and consolidation of the main venue, Government Degree College (Boys), Khanabal, testing/screening of school children, participants, PA System, seating arrangements, cultural programmes, prize distribution, uninterrupted power supply, drinking water/tanker service, illumination by PDD from Mehandikadal to GDC boys barricading of venue by PHE Bijbehara, medical aid camp, availability of ambulance, clearance of parade ground, in case of snowfall, deployment of fire tenders and sanitation measures were held in the meeting. Similar functions would be held at sub-divisions of Bijbehara, Doru, Kokernag, Pahalgam and all Tehsil headquarters. The DDC directed the concerned officers to ensure participation of DDC’s, BDC’s, Panches, Sarpanches and ULB members. The meeting was informed that contingents of JKP, IRP, CRPF, Auxiliary Police, Fire & Emergency Services, NCC, students of government and private schools will participate in the march past parade.
At Ganderbal, District Development Commissioner (DDC), Shafqat Iqbal presided over a meeting and reviewed the arrangements for the upcoming Republic Day function. The meeting held threadbare discussions on arrangements to be put in place at the venue for the National function, including preparation and consolidation of the main venue ground, security, seating, transportation, parking, electricity, refreshment, Medicare, availability of ambulance, deployment of fire tenders and sanitation measures. The meeting was informed that the main function will be held at the College of Physical Education Ground Gadoora where the chief guest will unfurl the National Flag and take salute at the March past. The march past will be presented by the contingents of District Police, CRPF, Armed Police, NCC, PTS Manigam and students of various educational institutions. Cultural programs would also be presented on the occasion. The DDC directed the concerned officers to maintain close coordination among each other to ensure smooth and successful conduct of function. Among others, the meeting was attended by District Heads of various departments besides officials of Army and CRPF.
At Kulgam, the District Development Commissioner (DDC), Showkat Aijaz Bhat chaired a meeting of officers and discussed the arrangements for Republic Day Celebrations-2021. The meeting held threadbare discussion on arrangements to be put in place at the venue including parade participation, security, seating, car parking, transportation, illumination of government buildings and sanitation besides presentation of cultural programmes. The meeting was attended by district heads of various departments besides army and CRPF.
