Srinagar: Police in Baramulla have arrested one drug peddler and recovered contraband substance from his possession.
A police statement issued on Tuesday said “while routine checking of vehicles at Uri Sumo stand an individual identified as Amir Aftab son of Aftab Ahmad Magral resident of Sultan Daki was seen roaming in a suspicious way. He was intercepted and arrested when he tried to flee from the spot. During search officers were able to recover Heroin like substance concealed in a packet from his possession”.
“A case vide FIR No. 176/2020 under relevant sections of law stands registered at Police Station Uri and further investigation has been initiated”, reads the police statement.
