SMC carries out demolition drive in ward 11 Lal bazaar, ward 16 Anchaar

Srinagar/Dec,18: Srinagar Municipal Corporation (SMC) on Friday carried out demolition drives at various areas in ward 11 lal bazaar and ward 16 Anchaar.
According to a statement issued by Srinagar Municipal Corporation (SMC)the Enforcement wing stopped work of all those structures at a very initial stage which had deviations in sanctioned building plans and also demolished the illegal structures at plinth level only in Lalbazar and Anchar areas. The Enforcement wing, according to SMC statement, is continuing to act on a number of illegal constructions including public complaints made against violators in the city.
“It is time and again being monitored by the Authority whether Building permissions are regularly being checked at constructional sites and the structures are coming up plan as per the permission”, reads the SMC statement, adding that “the directions has been passed to the concerned that On finding deviations being done in building permission, the work has to be immediately stopped”.
The SMC in it’s statement further said that demolition drives with regard to unauthorized constructions will continue to ensure that no construction without permission is allowed to take place in the city.
