Mothers Of Kashmir

Motherhood of our mothers is lost!
When Springs become Autumns,
When weeping is the order of the day,
When giving a shoulder to her son’s coffin is a norm,
When disappearances never end,
When everyday passes with fear,
When the news of death is near,
When happiness turns into sadness,
When eyes are tired of waiting,
When waiting doesn’t materialize,
When colourful things look dull,
When greenery is destruction,
When vultures of defacement are hovering over heads,
When the jackals of blood are thirsty,
When vipers find preys,
When wolves are among,
My dear! It is difficult to find motherhood.
