Kupwara: The Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya (KGBV) School in Potoshahi lolab area of North Kashmir’s Kupwara district on Saturday organized enrollment drive and 18 students got admission in the school during the day long drive.

According to reports 18 students from various areas got admission through enrollment drive, while as 27 students had applied for the admission.

Chief Education Officer (CEO) Kupwara Abdul Hameed Fani was chief guest on the occasion and said that admission of these students is a welcome step.It is the commendable and praiseworthy step to have more and more students in the school.

KGBV school Warden Mymoona Khan said that KGBV Potushai is second model having 50 seats only. Out of 50 seats only 18 vacancies were available this year.

She said that besides education students are being provided Books, stationary,full Uniform, Food and accommodation for free.

She also said students are also trained in vocational courses, cocurricular activities, debates are being conducted on weekends.

The People of the area also requested CEO Kupwara to upgrade KGBV Potushai from existing second model to first model as per demand of the area.

They also said that the school is having accomodation problem, and appealed authorities to provide hospital for the school.
