G’bal : For phase-V of the District Development Council (DDC) and Panchayat by-elections, the District Panchayat Election Office (DPEO) Ganderbal, Shafqat Iqbal Wednesday dispatched 99 polling parties to their respective polling stations along with election material and Ballot Boxes.
The polling under this phase is scheduled to be held for 02 DDC constituencies of Wakura A and B, 02 vacant seats of Sarpanch and 28 vacant seats of Panch on 10 December, 2020.
According to the DPEO, 88 Candidates are in fray including 19 candidates for DDC, 8 for Sarpanch and 61 for Panch vacant seats.
It was informed that a total of 99 polling stations are established at 33 locations in which 24,262 electorals shall exercise their franchise.
Among others, Additional Deputy Commissioner Ganderbal, Farooq Ahmad Baba, DIO Ganderbal, concerned ROs, AROs, Nodal Officers were present on the occasion.
