Anantnag youth missing in Qatar, another one from Pulwama ‘disappears’ in Gurgaon

Srinagar: In a tragic incident two youth from south Kashmir’s Pulwama and Anantnag village have gone missing.
Zahid Ahmad from Pulwama’s Braw Bandina has gone missing from Gurgaon area of Haryana, since November 27, while another youth Muneeb Ahmad Sofi who hails from Kanelwan Bijbehara in Anantnag district is missing from Doha Qatar since 18 October. Bilal Ahmad Sofi father of Muneeb said that his son was working in a juice factory in Doha Qatar, but since October 18 there are no traces of him.
“We called his friends and contacted the embassy as well but so far we haven’t got any clue about his whereabouts,” Sofi said.
Sofi said that they have registered his missing report at the concerned police station and the administration has assured all the possible help to trace his son.
In another case, Mohammed Shafi cousin of Zahid that he was working with a private company in Gurgaon, however, since 27 November he has not contacted his family.
“We (family) with a help of local police team have been moving from pillar to post in Gurgaon to get any clue about him, but so far we failed to trace him,” Shafi said.
Shafi said that when they contacted the company where Zahid was working, the family was told that he has resigned on 20th November.
“Later we contacted the landlord of his rented flat, but the owner said that Zahid cleared all the rent and left the room on 27th afternoon,” Shafi said.” The same day when he last spoke with the family.”
Meanwhile, families of both the missing youth have appealed authorities to help them in tracing their ward.
A senior police officer said that efforts are on to trace both the missing person.
Pertinently, six youth i- four from Shopian and two from Kulgam went missing outside J&K in November last month. However, J&K police were able to trace all of them within days
