Refresher course for sports teachers begins at Ramban

Ramban: The Department of District Youth Services and Sports today started a weeklong refresher course for Physical Education Teachers and Rehbar-e-Khel teachers for different disciplines of sports like Kho-Kho, Volleyball, Kabaddi, and boxing, here at Government Middle School Maitra .
As many as 60 physical education teachers are participating in the said course.As per the District Youth Services and Sports Officer (DYSSO) Ramban, Dharamvir Singh , the main aim of this Refresher Course is to provide knowledge about new rules and regulations of the concerned game and to promote physical fitness along with all components of Physical Education & Sports, techniques and skills among the participants
The Programme is being organized under the chairmanship of Director General, Youth Services & Sports, J&K, Dr. Saleem -ur- Rehman to improve the coaching skills of teachers to enable them to hone the sports talent of students as well as promote sports culture in the district.
The inaugural session of the training course was presided by the District Youth Services and Sports Officer (DYSSO) Ramban, Dharamvir Singh.
Speaking on the occasion, the DYSSO said the Technical Officials of the concerned game have been deputed for the course at the venue.
The master trainers for the course are Zonal Physical Education Officer Ab. Rehman Wagay Physical Education Master, Joginder Paul Gupta, Mujahid Hussain, Physical Education Teachers, Anis-uz-Zaman Wani, Pardeep Singh Katoch, Bharat Singh, Ajay Chand, Arun Kumar Sharma for training purposes.
