Srinagar/June,12:Militant outfit Hizbul Mujhadeen Monday said Kashmiri pro-freedom political prisoners are being deprived from the basic facilities in Indian Jails.
The outfit while expressing anguish over the plight of Kashmiri prisoners said that India and its ‘puppet’ administration in J&K are playing with the lives of these prisoners under a well thought out plan.
As per a statement issued to local news gathering agency CNS, Hizbul Mujhadeen Chief Syed Salahuddin while addressing a high command council meeting said that popular pro-freedom leaders including Masrat Alam, Syedah Aasiya Andrabi and thousands of other prisoners have been deprived of basic facilities inside the prisons. “Sub-standard food, lack of medical facilities and scorching heat outside Kashmir Jails have been taking a heavy toll upon these prisoners,” he said.
“Government despite knowing this fact, that ailing Asiya Andrabi requires Oxygen supply, kept her lodged with Faheema Sofi in arid zone where sun emits fire. This shows the government has ill intentions,” he said and warned of serious consequences if any of the incarcerated leaders will be harmed.
Syed Salahuddin said that whole Jammu and Kashmir has been turned into a torture centre. “Force is being used to suppress and crush the freedom sentiments of people. Indian Forces are involved in worst forms of human rights violations while Indian army chief himself has given a free hand to army to violate human rights,” he said and appealed international human rights organizations including Human Rights Watch and Amnesty International to take strong note of Indian brutalities in Kashmir. “These organizations should put pressure on India which is pushing South Asia towards death and destruction,” he said.
During the meeting it was reiterated that ongoing freedom struggle will continue till it is taken to its logical conclusion.
