Pulwama: For Phase Ist of DDC, Panchayat bye-elections, 34 nomination papers were received for Achgoza and Shadimarg partly of the district Friday on the last date of filing of nomination papers.
A total of 06 nomination papers were received for upcoming Phase Ist of DDC elections, 05 filled their nomination papers for vacant Sarpanch seats and 23 filed their nomination papers for vacant Panch seats before the Returning Officers.
Friday during scrutiny, 03 nomination papers were rejected out of 06 that were filed for phase Ist of DDC polls.
The last date for withdrawal of the candidature for the first phase is November 16, 2020. While as, polling is scheduled to be held on November 28.
