Physical verification of projects reviewed at Kishtwar

Kishtwar: The progress on the physical verification of the various projects of the state capex, District capex, B2V and NABARD was today reviewed, here at a meeting convened by District Statistic and Evaluation Office.
District Statistic and Evaluation Officer, Mohammad Iqbal and heads of concerned departments and executing agencies attended the meeting.
The meeting was attended by the Assistant Commissioner Development; Kishore Singh Katoch, Chief Education Officer, Ashok Kumar besides concerned Executive Engineers and representatives of the PWD, PHE etc.
At the outset, the meeting was informed that the process has been started on the directions of the Finance Department seeking detailed verification of projects being implemented under different schemes in the district through District Statistics and Evaluation Office and several teams has been constituted for the purpose.
The teams have been asked to conduct physical verification of 100% works/ Projects under the district capex budget, 450 projects under state capex, 6 projects under B2V besides concurrent monitoring of 29 NABARD works have to be conducted. It was informed in the meeting that the verification process of about 31 projects under District Capex has been completed besides 22 out of 450 works under State capex, 16 out of 29 works under NABARD besides cent percent verification under B2V has been completed so far.
These projects are being executed by Health, Education, YSSO, PWD, Irrigation and Flood control departments and by the Municipal Council. The move aims at strengthening the monitoring mechanism and evaluation right from the lower level of official machinery.
Further, it was informed by DSEO/Joint Director Planning that the physical verification reports are to be submitted to the Regional Director Economics and Statistics and Finance department on weekly basis hence the information for m all quarters must reach on time regularly.
At the end, DSEO/Joint Director planning Mohammad Iqbal asked the heads of the executing agencies to work in tendem and to cooperate with the verification teams for the early completion of the process.
