Kulgam: Police in Kulgam have arrested two bootleggers and recovered 32 bottles of illicit liquor from their possession.
A statement issued by police said that officers at a checkpoint established at town Kulgam intercepted one vehicle Santro Car bearing registration number CH03Q-4570 with two persons on board. Stating that they have been identified as Rameez Afzal Ganie resident of Kulgam and Javaid Ahmad Lone resident of Pahloo, the police in it’s statement said “during search, officers were able to recover 32 bottles of illicit liquor from their possession. They have been arrested and shifted to Police Station Kulgam where they remain in custody. Vehicle used in the commission of the crime has also been seized”.
Police also said that a case FIR No. 202/2020 under relevant sections of law stands registered in Police Station Kulgam and further investigation is in process.
