DC Pulwama visits distt hospital, hails the efforts of medical fraternity

Pulwama: Deputy Commissioner, Pulwama, Dr Raghav Langer paid a surprise visit to District Hospital Pulwama and had a detailed inspection of the Isolation ward.
During the inspection, DC interacted with all the patients and attendants and enquired about the state of health services, quality of food and other amenities in the new IPD block of DH Pulwama which is designated as a specialized Isolation ward.
Satisfied with the measures taken by the Hospital management, DC hailed the efforts of the medical fraternity including paramedics for their relentless efforts in quality patient care.
It is worthwhile to mention that District hospital Pulwama has been pivotal in COVID mitigation measures besides anchoring the non-COVID patient care smoothly.
As many as 967 COVID positive patients have been admitted in the designated isolation facility with 798 patients recovered besides 11 deaths. The dedication and professionalism of doctors reduced the referrals to minimum including operation of 45 COVID positive LSCS.
5838 patients were tested under RT PCR whereas 3622 tests were done under Rapid Antigen Test.
Regarding Non-COVID patient care, around 142110 patients have been examined by doctors in OPDs whereas 4182 patients were admitted in IPDs besides 1101 routine LSCS.
As many as 200 surgeries were conducted in available facilities besides 1438 sessions of dialysis were conducted in the dialysis center at District Hospital.
Deputy Commissioner while hailing the efforts of the medical fraternity said the selfless services of doctors have reposed the faith of the public in health Institutions as the medical fraternity has exhibited professionalism in the times of adversity .
