New land laws a blow socio- political aspirations of people, put the decision on hold till final verdict of SC on J&K petitions :Hakeem tells Centre

Srinagar/Oct,27: Chairman People’s Democratic Front (PDF ) Hakeem Mohammad Yaseen voiced his serious concern over the new land laws announced by the central government adding that entire jammu and kashmir has been put on sale by virtue of the new notification on land ownership laws. ” Since the matter about revocation of the statehood, Art. 370 and Art 35-A was subjudice , the Center should take back the controversial notification , till the final verdict comes from Supreme Court, ” Hakeem Yaseen maintained.
In a statement issued on Tuesday Hakeem said that notification about new land laws in jammu and kashmir was totally against the socio- political aspirations of the common masses adding that all the people of jammu and kashmir, cutting across thier individual political, religious and regional affliations , want safegaurds to thier domicile rights on land, jobs and statehood as guaranteed under the Constitution of India.
‌ PDF Chairman said that issuance of new notification on land laws in jammu and kashmir has come as a bolt from blue for the people of jammu and kashmir who take it another rude betrayal of promises made by the Central leadership about protection of thier basic constitutional rights. He has urged the Center to respect socio- political aspirations of the people of jammu and kashmir to win thier hearts and minds adding that tinkering with the constitutional rights of the people would only add to the prevailing atmosphere of mistrust and alienation. He said Center should always take people of jammu and kashmir into confidence before taking any decision on any issue having socio- political ramifications as jammu and kashmir was stragically and politically a very sensitive border state.
