Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi (SAW) arrangements reviewed at Anantnag

Anantnag: Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Anantnag, Ghulam Hassan Sheikh Thursday chaired a meeting of concerned officers to review Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi (SAW) arrangements.
During the meeting, threadbare discussions were held with regard to the availability of essential commodities including rice, flour, LPG and kerosene besides availability of transport for the devotees and the traffic management.
The meeting also discussed sanitation of Ziyarat Shareefs, Mosques, fumigation of shrines, Mosques, uninterrupted power and water supply besides proper functioning of street lights and availability of ambulance services.
The ADC directed concerned officers to ensure the availability of water and power supply, sanitation, healthcare, transport services, ambulance services, ration, water tanker service, installation of DG sets at the Shrines of Khiram and Kabamarg.
Besides, he also issued directions to EOs of Municipal Committees of Bijbehara and Doru to ensure proper savlon fumigation and sanitation during processions at Ziyarat shareef Khiram and Kabamarg.
ADC emphasized upon the officers to ensure the strict compliance of the approved rates besides, ensure that the shopkeepers display rate lists across the district.
The ADC informed that the district administration will provide two quintal sugar to Khiram Dargah and 50 Kg to Kabamarg Dargah and will also arrange the DG sets for both the places.
He appealed to the Waqaf representatives to ensure Covid-19 SOPs and guidelines are adhered to strictly, besides soaps are also made available at wadu Khanas.
He informed the members that District Administration will distribute face Masks at both the Shrines of Khiram Dargah and Kabamarg.
The meeting was attended by Tehsildar Anantnag, Assistant Director FCS&CA, Legal Metrology and the representatives of Waqf board.
