Youth empowerment is a process where young people are encouraged to take charge of their lives. They do this by addressing their situation and then take action in order to improve their access to resources and transform their consciousness through their beliefs, values, and attitudes. The youth plays a great role in nation-building as they are the future of the nation. Youth has the power to lead the nation towards progress. Youth is responsible for bringing social reforms within a country. So it is the need of hour to empower the youth as we all know that any society’s future depends upon the empowerment and education of youth. Let me talk about some issues and try to explain that why the empowerment of youth is important for a nation. Poverty eradication: Youth empowerment can help in reducing the rate of poverty to a significant level. When our youth will be skilled, it will directly impact the society. With the help of his skills youth can feed his family and help his society and defeat poverty. When our youths will be full of skills, it will leave affect directly on the GDP of the nation. So, if in our society youth will be unemployed, means he/she is not working anywhere definitely it will effect our economy. So, I want to tell our youth that they should be skillful so that we can eradicate poverty from our society.
Good education standard: Empowerment can help youth to understand the importance of education that leads to social empowerment of the country. When our youth will be empowered, He/she can understand the importance of education and work for the upliftment of this sector and in return we can get better society. We are living in a society where education sector is very poor, so it is the need of the hour to empower youth for positive changes.
Good governance: With focus pm youth empowerment, the youth can reject the status quo and pave a path for a better future. Our youth should have leadership skills as youth is the only one sector of the society who can take risks for the welfare of the society. So if the youth will be empowered it is simple that we can get good governance and can see changes as well as development of society. We can learn lessons from the history as it is very important to know that what youth have done for betterment of society through their skills . Social transformation is only possible if the youth are empowered.
Crime reduction: Empowerment ensures that youth has the sufficient enough skill to sustain a livelihood which would prevent him from following the path of crime. When our youth will be empowered, they will work for welfare of society and would keep away from the crimes.
Govt is going to launch National Education Policy as new policy which is commendable step towards youth empowerment and we hope that with the help of this policy our youth can be taken towards the skillful world and with this our society will have positive changes but also remember this is only one step and much more is needed as lot of youths can’t be benefited by this policy as they have crossed this stage. It is our duty to look into this serious issue as it is the issue of our future.
Now a days we are observing that our youth are committing crimes like drug addiction, gambling, etc. Do ever we think what the reason is and why our youth are committing crimes? Govt is going to launch National Education Policy as new policy which is commendable step towards youth empowerment and we hope that with the help of this policy our youth can be taken towards the skillful world and with this our society will have positive changes but also remember this is only one step and much more is needed as lot of youths can’t be benefited by this policy as they have crossed this stage. It is our duty to look into this serious issue as it is the issue of our future.
It is only because our youth don’t aspire for better careers and as such focus has to be on youth empowerment the only way to curb crimes. So, if we want that these crimes should be stopped we have to empower the youth of the country. At last I want to say that we have to look that how can we empower the youth and as such government has to continuously focus on this issue.
