Jammu:  Government Medical College (GMC) Jammu administration has refuted the news report which appeared in a section of the press regarding nonpayment of dues in favour of M/s Anmol Health Care- the designated agency  for collection and disposal of Bio-Medical-Waste in GMC and other Associated  Hospitals.

The contracted agency is collecting and processing one hundred percent Bio Medical-waste including Covid waste generated in the GMC and Associated Hospitals, it said. The GMC Administration categorically stated that the allegation with regard to unpaid pending bills to the tune of Rs. 20 lakh is false, fictitious and is not based upon facts.

In this regard all the subordinate offices have  submitted their reports, whereby it has been established that the contracted agency  has not submitted its bills from the month of July to September 2020 for Chest  Diseases Hospital Jammu, for the month of September for GMC and the month of  June onwards as far as SMGS Hospital is concerned.

The Administration further clarified that the agency has also not submitted the bills with regard to collection of Bio-Medical-Waste of IIM till date. Accordingly the esteemed press is requested to take official version of the administration before publication of pertinent news  reports.
