Srinagar: Chairman Jammu and Kashmiri Civil Society Forum Abdul Qayoom Wani on Wednesday expressed grief and shock over the demise of former DG Tourism J&K and prominent writer Mohammad Ashraf who passed away Tuesday night this week .
In a condolence statement issued here on Wednesday Wani said that late Mohammad Ashraf was a muti-dimensional legend known for his professional excellence in many fields of his interest ranging from Adventure to writing books and columns on the opinion pages in newspapers . Wani recalled the contributions of Late Mohammad Ashraf and said that his work needs to be preserved for coming generations for the purposes of academic and tourist promotion . Wani said that it was very unfortunate that such people remain unsung till death and only after death commoners knew who was who. “JK CSF pays rich tributes to the departed soul and prays to Almighty for eternal peace to the departed soul”, Wani added
