B2V an exemplary step to aware people about their rights, other welfare schemes at their doorstep: Advisor Sharma

Doda: Advisor to Lieutenant Governor, K K Sharma, Tuesday said that the ambitious Back to Village program is exemplary model of public outreach where officers interact with the common masses to assess their developmental aspirations bridging gap between people and the administration.
Advisor said this during a mega function organized in Panchayat Halqa Assar of Assar Sub-Division in connection with the Day 5th of 3rd phase of ‘Back to Village’ program.
During the visit, the Advisor took stock of public issues and demands, distributed Domicile certificates, Soil health Cards, Sports kits, KCC cards among beneficiaries, besides inaugurated Meeting hall at Block headquarter Assar, Park at Tringul, C path/ Stone pitching work at NH 1B to Khank Mata Mandir, also laid foundation stone of Circular road from Assar to Bhata during Back to Village 3 in the presence of DDC Doda, Dr Sagar D Doifode, SSP Doda and other concerned.
At the outset, the DDC Doda Dr Sagar D Doifode highlighted the importance of Back to Village program and said that it is a step towards inclusion of people in the development and decision making process at the grassroots level, besides it provides a platform to introspect whether the benefits of the schemes are reaching to the ground level.
BDC Chairman Assar also put some demands before the Advisor which includes demand of government degree college at Assar, Upgradation of PHC etc for which the Advisor assured to take up the issue with concerned quarters for redressal.
Speaking on the occasion, Advisor Sharma said that B2V-3 and Jan Abhiyan is a chance to people to get their due share in developmental process which has taken a pace from the last two years.
Due to program like B2V-3 administration gets first hand knowledge of Village life, issues and problems, the Advisor added.
He directed the district administration to speed up the completion of sanctioned works pertaining to all departments especially in education department by stating the reason that quality Infrastructure in Education sector is the basis for transforming the society in real manner.
The Advisor appreciated the district administration for making persistence efforts to contain the spread of Covid-19, and also stated that pulse Oximeter distribution through Oxygen Doot is a unique and timely step to contain virus, besides congratulated the people of Doda for having GMC in this remotest area which is providing better health care facilities to the people.
He said Central as well as UT Government is committed to ensure the Doubling of the income of farmers, and said that refrigerator van for transportation of perishable produce to the distant locations a good step for the welfare of the farmers.
Later, the Advisor inspected various stalls put up by the various departments highlighting their key activities.
The others who were present during the program are ADC Doda, SDM Assar besides other District Officers of district administration.
