People welcome dev of assets under B2V, other schemes

Jammu: The second leg of Back to village phase 3 has started across 221 Panchayats of 15 blocks of district Jammu with hosting of series of Gram Sabhas by the visiting officers.
The day witnessed huge public participation in gram sabhas and the beneficiaries of various centrally sponsored schemes expressed gratitude to the government for enabling them to avail the benefits. The PRIs also expressed satisfaction over development works completed in their areas under Back to Village 1, II, 14th FC and other schemes.
The 2nd segment of B2V3 is being held in Bishnah, Nagrota, Dansal, Mathwar, Bhalwal, Marh, Akhnoor, Mandal Phallian, Maira Mandrian, Chowki Choura, Bhalwal Brahmana, Khour, Smawan, Kharah Balli and Pargwal blocks comprising 221 Panchayats.
At Block Marh, Block Development Council Chairman, Surinder Kumar informed that various development works have been recently completed in all the Panchayats of the block. He further informed that most of the completed works were taken up under Back to Village Programs, 14th FC and other schemes of Government.
“We welcome the step of government for starting Back to Village Phase 3 which aims at to take the governance at the doorsteps of the people”, he said. He informed that in Galbade village a transformer has been installed for irrigation purposes under Back to village 2nd phase. The transformer will streamline the power supply to the pump sets which would further ease the worries of farmer community. The upgraded facility has facilitated adequate irrigation for around 200 Kanal land, he added.
The Sarpanchs of the Panchayats informed that various development works have been completed in the Panchayats including development of cremation ground, construction of lanes and drains, roads, bridges and others.
Ratno Devi a widow of village Parwah extended gratitude to the government for extending monetary support under PMAY scheme for construction of her own house.
