Ganderbal: Advisor to Lieutenant Governor, Rajeev Rai Bhatnagar Wednesday urged the people to become part of the upcoming B2V phase-3 to reap the fruits of this massive development campaign launched by the Jammu and Kashmir Government.

He was interacting with the people at Block Diwas event in Kangan  attended by District Development Commissioner Ganderbal, Shafqat Iqbal, SSP Ganderbal Khalil Poswal, besides other district and police officers.

“Jan Abhiyan and Back to Village programs have been launched with the purpose to reach out to the people at their doorsteps to listen to their grievances and know about their developmental aspirations. It also aims at to further empower the PRIs by way of providing them funding, staff and necessary training,” the Advisor told the people.

While briefing on forthcoming B2V3, the Advisor urged upon the people to participate with same enthusiasm to register their demands as the main aim of the program is to understand the difficulties of the people and to ensure proper disposal of all such grievances.

Responding to the demands of the people, he said the UT administration is committed to overall development of the UT and in this regard several initiatives have been taken.

To ensure cent percent saturation of individual beneficiary oriented schemes, the Advisor said main aim of organizing the Jan Abhiyan is to reach out to the remote areas of the UT to improve service delivery and to ensure benefits of the beneficiary oriented schemes reach to the deserving people.

The Deputy Commissioner also spoke on the occasion and highlighted the importance of active participation of people in Block Diwas and urged upon them to participate actively   to get their possible grievances redressed at their door steps and get the maximum benefits from beneficiary oriented schemes of the government which are meant for welfare of people.

Advisor Bhatnagar handed over KCC passbook, Income Certificates, domicile certificates among beneficiaries and sports kits were also given to Sarpanchs.

Earlier, the Deputy Commissioner along with SSP Ganderbal visited Block Diwas function at Safapora and Lar blocks where he listened to the demands and grievances raised by the people and reiterated that the prime aim of organizing Block Diwas is to provide services at the doorsteps of the people at one place and in this regard the officers/Officials of all line Departments are already directed to redress the possible grievances on spot as per their competence.

Meanwhile, the DDC also handed over cheques worth Rs 20.39 Lakh (Rs 7.92 lakh at Safapora and 12.46 Lkah at Lar) among beneficiaries under different schemes of Labour Department, besides presented sports items, KCC Passbooks, Domicile and Income certificates to the beneficiaries.
