Doda: The month long District Level Inter Zonal Tournament for all age groups (Boys) took off with a football event Tuesday here at Sport Stadium.
District Youth Service & Sports Officer (DYSSO), Jaffar Hussain Sheikh, declared the tournament open
The tournament would also witness competitions in Cricket, Volleyball , Kho-Kho and Badminton during the month long sports event.
In the tournament around 80 players would show their talent in all the disciplines. The teams are drawn from all the zones of District Doda.
In charge, ZPEO Doda, Kishori Lal and In Charge, ZPEO Bhalla, Pritam Singh were also present.
The tournament is being organised as a part of annual calendar of activities framed by the District Youth Services & Sports Officer under the patronage of Director General Youth Services and Sports J&K Govt, Dr Saleem ur Rehman, and on the consent of Dr. Sagar D Doifode, Deputy Commissioner Doda.
The sports event is being held by strictly following the covid protection SoPs and guidelines. The matches were officiated by Aftab Alam, Mudassir Maqbool, Vijay Kumar.
In the Football match held for under 14 teams, Ghat Zone beat Gundna Zone by 2-0, the Final match was won by Doda zone by beating Ghat zone 2-0 and In under-17 category, Doda Zone beat Bhalla Zone by 3-0, the Final match was won by Doda zone by beating Ghat Zone by 3-0.
