Ang: District Development Commissioner (DDC) Anantnag, K K Sidha Thursday convened District Level Review-Cum-Consultative Committee (DLRC) meeting to review District Credit Action Plan 2020-21.
The meeting reviewed the progress achieved in key sectors like Agriculture, Micro and Small Enterprises, KCC, Education Housing, Handloom, Handicrafts, Animal and Sheep Husbandry, Priority and Non-priority sectors.
The LDM (Lead District Manager), Anantnag Mohammad Afaaq informed the meeting that against a credit target of Rs 3580.52 cr, an advancement of Rs 308.26 cr has been made by various banks and under Non priority sector an advancement of Rs. 105.32 cr stand disbursed among the beneficiaries.
Similarly, under KCC scheme against 400039 sponsored cases, 14418 cases sanctioned and Rs. 11887 lacs disbursed by the end of June 2020.
During the Kissan Pakwara held in the month of July 1.05 lac cases were sanctioned.
The DDC stressed the banks to focus on agriculture and allied sectors and involve unemployed youth under dairy, sheep farming, fish farming for which they can avail the subsidy benefits under various welfare schemes.
He also called for establishment of Agri-processing units in agriculture and allied sectors particularly in animal, sheep husbandry and fisheries and assured that the district administration would provide every possible support.
The DDC directed the KVIB for handholding of beneficiaries and impart them the training to establish their own income generating units.
He also directed the line department and bankers to conduct awareness camps in urban and rural areas in consultation with MC Councilors, Sarpanchs and Panchs to aware the common masses regarding various welfare and employment oriented programs.
The meeting was attended by GM. DIC Anantnag, Agriculture, Horticulture, Animal Husbandry, Sheep, Fisheries, NRLM, Handicrafts, Handlooms, KVIB, AGM RBI, ADGM NBARD, Both Cluster Heads of JK Bank Anantnag, representatives of various banks.
