Jammu: Department of Animal Husbandry Jammu is organizing “KISSAN PAKHWADA” and Awareness Camps on regular basis in all the Panchyats/villages for the registration and awareness of Kissan Credit Card scheme. All the officers/officials of District Jammu are conducting campaign in order to achieve 100% coverage of the scheme under “Aatm Nirbhar Bharat”.
As per the department, over 8100 Kissan Credit Card cases have been sponsored by the department to different branches of the bank in their respective jurisdiction. There is over whelming response from the farmers in every part of District Jammu for this scheme. Numerous Kissan Credit Cards have been issued to the concerned beneficiaries and others are in active process of finalization. The Animal Husbandry Department Jammu is trying its best, and is hopeful to complete the task of 100% coverage in stipulated time by the end of the fortnight campaign (July 7 to July 21, 2020.)
At all the Panchayats, “Kissan Pakhwada” camps are being organised in collaboration with other allied departments viz Banks, Agriculture, Horticulture and PRI Members to brief the farmers/beneficiaries about the scheme. On spot registration of Kissan Credit Card Forms are being carried out.
In addition, other different beneficiaries oriented schemes of Dairying and poultry are being popularised among the farmers in the different panchyats of the District among which IDDS, Poultry policy 2020, DEDS are the main schemes.
