Jammu: Government College for Women, Bhagwati Nagar, organised an online inter college slogan writing competition on the occasion of World Population Day with theme ‘Creating awareness about vulnerabilities of female reproductive health during pandemic’.
Students from different colleges participated in the event expressing their drawing skills and knowledge about the topic.
Professor Minnie Sharma, Principal of the college raised awareness about the effects of over population on the environment and development. She also talked about the health problems faced by the child bearing women and the importance of family planning, gender equality, poverty and maternal health.
The entries were adjudged by Professor Moni Mehra (GDC, Paloura) and Professor Sudesh Kumar (M.A.M. College, Jammu).
Diksha Thakur of GDC, Majalta secured first Position, Aashima Gupta got Second and Leepika Sharma of Goverment M.A.M. College bagged third position.
