DC G’bl inspects fabrication work on Malshahibagh Canal breach

G’bal: The Deputy Commissioner Ganderbal, Shafqat Iqbal Saturday visited a material dumping site near breached spot of Sindh Extension Canal at Malshahibagh, to take stock of fabrication work.
While inspecting the progress of work, Executive Engineer I&FC division Ganderbal informed the DC that launching of steel fabrication work will be initiated after the 33 KV transmission line is shifted which is already tendered.
The DC exhorted upon the Executive Engineer that while starting the fabrication work on the breached spot ensure safety of laid down water pipes through which potable water is supplied to several areas in the north of Srinagar and parts of Ganderbal district.
While reviewing the progress of fabrication work, executive Engineer informed the DC that six welding units are already on job at site which will be expedited in coming days by way of engaging more welders besides 70 percent of steel is already dumped at the site
The DC urged upon the concerned to form a comprehensive plan for dumping the rest of steel well in time so that the work on the breached spot is completed within the stipulated time frame.
The DC was on the occasion accompanied by Additional Deputy Commissioner Ganderbal, Farooq Ahmad Baba.
