Jammu, Jun 1: Principal Sessions Judge Kathua has rejected the bail application of a police personnel arrested for selling narcotics to the school children.
Principal Sessions Judge Kathua, Vinod Chatterji Koul yesterday denied bail to Mohammad Shafi, son of Ghulam Rasool, resident of Khokhyal, District Kathua, a police cop booked in an NDPS case.
The accused was arrested on March 4, 2017 when the police while patrolling near Shakti Model School, Kathua, stopped a motorcycle driven by him Mohd Shafi and recovered during search 100 grams of Charas was recovered from his possession.
Thereafter, on the same day, on his disclosure, 600 grams of Charas was also recovered from his room.
Principal Sessions Judge Kathua, Vinod Chatterji Koul observed that use of narcotics by youth was increasing day-by-day.
The Court observed that these are the persons responsible for spoiling the life and career of youth as they supply such narcotics and sell the same to the youth.
The society can never be said to be in the safe hands when fence begins to destroy the crop and with these observations the Court rejected the bail application.
