Jammu: District Tuberculosis Officer, Dr. Meenakashi Kotwal, Dr. Bindu and other from DTC Jammu Saturday organized awareness/screening program regarding Tuberculosis treatment and its elimination in Central Jail Jammu Kotbhalwal.
Dr. Meenaskshi Kotwal apprised inmates about awareness, prevention and cure of Tuberculosis. She highlighted the initiatives and achievements of government of India regarding elimination of Tuberculosis, particularly in prisons.
Senior Superintendent, Dinesh Sharma, requested DTO to look into the issue of up gradation of existing prison hospital particularly lab section.
