Death toll in Jammu accident reaches three, four injured

Jammu: The death toll of road accident touched three after one of the injured persons succumbed to injuries during treatment in sub district hospital of R S Pura here on city outskirts.

Earlier in the morning two persons were killed and five injured when a SUV they were traveling in skidded off and met with an accident in Ranbir Singh Pura.

Police here said that an over-speed SUV (JK02CK 1337) skidded off the road and hit with trees on opposite side at village Gondla.

The deceased were identified as Gurdas Chand, 48, son of Chaman Lal, resident of Dravya, Raj Kumar, 45, son of Ashok Kumar, resident of Dangray (died on the spot) and Kuldeep Kumar (succumbed), son of Des Raj of Gagain, R S Pura.

The injured persons are Parveen Singh Sindhu (driver), Surinder Lal, Tarsem Lal and one unidentified.
